 In a bid to fight crime, and reduce omissions, NYPD begin road testing electric, ultra-quiet scooters. A far cry from 1968 through '82 when the Traffic Division hit the streets daily on Lambretta Li 150s, later to be replaced by a more friendly Yamaha model.
